The Mobile World Congress is one of the biggest and most exciting events of the year. Although this year VR has been one of the main topics surrounding the event, we were very pleased to see how IoT and M2M technologies are having an increased focus and how different industries are using it to provide a better product or service.
Another underlying topic of the overall event that we were really pleased to see was collaboration. Seeing how different companies from different sectors join forces to bring a better user experience got us really excited, as that is what we do on a daily basis at Pangea.
As the Mobile World Congress is all about new technologies, we experimented with live streaming and also recorded an interview video with three thought leaders that have very different views and roles within mobile and mobile related technology. Carl Thomas, founder of Audiowings and Wearables London, shared his impressions on the new wearables technology showcased at MWC, creating a very interesting and educational meet up group that tackles everything to do with Wearable technology.
It was clear from MWC that in order to go far you need to work together
David Dungay, deputy editor at Comms Business Magazine, shared some great insights on what MWC is all about as well as what it could mean for the UK telecoms Channel, while Tom Nelson, marketing director of Jasper Technologies, talked about the collaboration opportunities across the IoT space and how connecting everything is just the beginning, specifically focusing on a fantastic project they are involved with in China to connect 500,000 bicycles.
The IoT market is moving at a rapid pace and its important to nail down what part you play in it. At Pangea we are very focused on creating an ecosystem and collaborating with our partners to deliver something that in the end wins business and helps grow the opportunities for our partners. It was clear from the MWC that in order to go far you need to work together.
The event was great, both on and off the field. We found new opportunities for our partners to take to market as well as learned some key things about trends and technologies for 2016. We are definitely keen to make the trip back to Barcelona in 2017.
