10 stats to prep you for mobile data & IoT revenue in 2022

Last year intelligent mobile data was the largest segment of telecoms, and it’s only grown from there. The world is hungry for powerful, flexible connectivity that works anywhere, all the time.

The mobile market is worth £49bn in revenue as of 2021.

Up from roughly £40bn last year.

It’s the perfect time for resellers, MSPs, and ISPs to get involved in the intelligent mobile data opportunity worldwide. Don’t leave revenue on the table.

The UK is on track to consume at least 33% more mobile data than in 2020.

In Q2 alone, the UK used 1,402 petabytes (or 1.4 billion gigabytes) of mobile data.

The world at large used a total of 780 exobytes (or 780 billion gigabytes) of mobile data.

There are over 4.7 billion 4G subscriptions, and over 660 million 5G subscriptions worldwide.

There are at least 400,000 premises in the UK that can’t access broadband.
