We’re thrilled to announce that we’re connecting one of England’s largest football stadiums with our Multi-net SIM cards!
One of England’s most legendary Premier League football clubs (guess which? Hint: they’re doing very well this year) had the challenge of keeping their retailers online through matches; and Multi-net was exactly the solution they needed.
Cashing in on match day pop-up retail
When you’re the football cream of the crop, your stadium is bound to be packed on match day. With over 50,000 visitors needing to gear up with club merch, fuel up with half-time snacks, or celebrate with post-game drinks, there’s a massive retail opportunity to be tapped into—as long as you’ve got the stable connectivity to support it.
But with great crowds comes great network congestion. And with about 70km² of ground to cover, there’s a lot of room for signal strength to dip and drop. Which translates to big problems when running solutions like EPOS.
Our unsteered Multi-net SIM cards are saving the day with adaptive, always-on connectivity across the entire stadium. Stadium retailers now enjoy seamless roaming across all networks—if there’s a brief outage or they set up in a network deadzone, they don’t even notice; the SIMs simply migrate until they find the strongest connection. On top of that, we’ve equipped each kiosk with a static IP to process card payments, hosted voice handsets, and a private APN to reduce congestion issues.
Now retailers stay connected, customers stay fed, and the revenue keeps flowing.
Our Sales Director, Bernie McPhillips, commented: ‘It’s not every day you get to work with a Premier League club—and we’re massively proud to be connecting one of the most iconic locations in the sport!
‘Multi-net SIMs might be the industry’s best kept secret, but we’re doing our part to bring their benefits to every business with a mobile data requirement. And we encourage all our partners to do the same; don’t miss out on the opportunity!’
‘We’re excited to see what the future holds for the partnership—and of course, we wish the boys victory in all their home games and beyond!
