Israel is fast becoming a wold hub for IoT, and this month we jetted out to Tel Aviv to get the lowdown on the latest IoT innovations happening right now, including smart cats eyes, IoT security advancements, and shipping container trackers.
Watch our video to find out more.
Connected Cats Eyes
We checked out an up-and-coming cats eye solution, where sensors on the road use geo-location to pinpoint traffic jams, accidents, and other road hazards. For now, the cats eyes are simply gathering and transmitting data; the next step will involve testing their data processing capability.
The aim here is to integrate this technology with ongoing connective car initiatives — smart cars talking to smart roads is an exciting milestone in the journey to smart cities.
IoT Security
There’s also new IoT security tech in the pipeline. We had the chance to view a project that uses patented technology to create a secure and dynamic identifier of a device; one that even takes the physical environment into account when authenticating, for example, payments made using a phone app — making contactless payments just that much safer.
Tracking Global Shipping Containers
We’ve got a new partner with a global patent on tech that records and delivers data on tracked shipping containers, and we’re excited to get to work on such an interesting IoT solution. We’ll be bringing USSD technology to the project, a system for mobile communication that is a staple in our portfolio.
