We’re gearing up to take our IoT ecosystem to London’s largest tech startup event—and what better way to show how IoT works, than our very own Pangea Connected Scalextrics set, where racing is about more than just going fast.
TechDay 2017 brings together the entire tech community, from the biggest industry leaders and investors to smallest of startups, with the one day event expected to pull in more than 10,000 visitors.
“I’ve been attending tech day over the years as a visitor. The combination of startups and scale-ups, working on cutting-edge technologies that solve challenges across various markets, whether it’s finance, agriculture, or communications, is always fascinating.
The IoT has evolved from a buzzword to an actual business requirement (what doesn’t need to be connected these days?), and whether in the startup, scaleup or established phase, every company needs an IoT strategy. By exhibiting at Techday we’ll have an opportunity to bring a tangible feeling of what IoT solutions look like with some hands-on demonstrations. We also look forward to mingling with other innovators and visitors to get a real ear to the ground regarding what’s hot in the tech space!”

Going wheel to wheel at TechDay
Racing might seem simple on the surface: go fast, win races. But ask any Formula One team and they’ll tell you there’s much more to it. Instead, vehicle telemetry data enabled by IoT technology can make or break getting into pole position. Likewise, consumers and businesses can benefit from similar telematics—from route optimisation and predictive maintenance, to driver improvement and settling insurance claims.
So at TechDay 2017, our IoT Scalextrics demo doesn’t just record fastest lap times. The difference between going hard on the brakes and hitting the apex just right could affect your fuel usage and tyre wear, meaning you’ll be alerted to go for a pitstop sooner than your rival. Live data recorded on our dashboard will give an overview of our racers’ performance, meaning they can plan and fine-tune their winning strategies.
Let’s Race!
