2017 is almost over, and we’d like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a happy new year!
While we get ready to see in the new year, take a trip back with us with our round-up of everything that happened this year at Pangea including awards, partner milestones, new faces, saving the environment with IoT bicycles, and building our very own connected scalextrics.
Here’s to a prosperous 2018!
Bernie commented “I am genuinely excited by the opportunity to join Pangea and help drive the business on to the next level. I was completely sold on the vision; Pangea’s incredible revenue growth and partner acquisition have exceeded the expectations for a start-up.”
With 108,000 attendees, from 208 countries and a record breaking 3000 exhibitors across the enormous Fira Gran Via exhibition centre, the Internet of Things (IoT) was yet again a core trend at Mobile World Congress. If you didn’t make it Barcelona this year, you can join our MD as he highlights all the exciting things from the event.
We’re extremely happy to announce that we’re finalists in not one, not two, but three Comms Dealer Sales and Marketing Awards, the UK’s most popular event for sales and marketing teams operating in the ICT channel.
Our Partner Programme supports our partners in accessing the one of the largest markets in the world, and we’ve had an incredible year thanks to the tenacity and forward thinking of our Channel sales team and our incredible partners.
We’re extremely excited to announce that we’ve been shortlisted for best M2M / IoT provider in the Comms Business Awards 2017, the most prestigious and sought after awards in the ICT Channel. A big well done to our team for their hard work over the past year!
Terence le Poer Trench, Business Development Manager at Pangea, will be taking part in RideLondon100, cycling the 100 mile course to raise money for stem4. Pangea will be telling the story of Terence’s training over a course of a 6 week campaign, focusing on how IoT enabled bicycles can keep cyclists safe, help them train harder, and transform how councils tackle complex environmental problems.
IoT is fast becoming the go to tactic in helping world champions win sporting events with performance metrics helping cyclists to improve training strategies. With a better understanding of his rides, Terence has so far improved his mile time by 11 seconds.
A Comms National Award is one of the most coveted prizes in the Telecoms Channel, and we’re delighted to announce that we’ve made it to the finals for the third year running! Our work with Birmingham council and our partner WRD saw us snag Best Mobile Data Solution in 2015, and this year we’ve been nominated for both Best SME M2M/wireless solution and Best Enterprise M2M/wireless solution
With the team fresh off the plane from Barcelona, we bought together our three directors for three minutes to get some insight into their experience at the Internet of Things Solutions World Congress, and ask the big question—was it worth it?
It’s been a busy awards season for the Pangea team with seven finalist nominations across the Channel this year—and after winning a CNA in 2015 for our work with Birmingham Council, we’re delighted to add another to our accolades, this time for our Pre-Ethernet solution.
We’re gearing up to take our IoT ecosystem to London’s largest tech startup event—and what better way to show how IoT works, than our very own Pangea Connected Scalextrics set, where racing is about more than just going fast.
Pangea has seen substantial growth in their Partner Programme since Bernie McPhillips joined the global as Sales Director in April 2017. McPhillips has played a key role in the 19 percent increase in revenue quarter over quarter
Since its launch back in November 2016, we’ve seen an ever-increasing demand for the award winning Pangea Pre-Ethernet solution. Its growing popularity is due to the advantages it provides both telecoms resellers and their end-customers.
With the Partner Programme being launched in May 2016, we’re proud to have reached the century milestone relatively quickly, especially as we predicted to only reach this target by the end of the year.
